Denver Golf Club

Denver Golf Club is home to a beautiful 18-hole golf course - the 9-hole Oaks Course - par 27 - with views of Denver Windmill, set in mature landscaped grounds within a county wildlife site and the 9-hole Hawthorns Course - par 35 - with par-3, 4 and 5 holes to challenge your long game. We are open all year (except during extreme weather conditions and on Christmas Day). On weekdays the course is open from 8.30 am to dusk and at weekends from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm. Longer evening opening hours apply in the summer months - please call us to confirm the details.

Our facilities are perfect for beginners and juniors who want to experience golf in friendly surroundings and find out more about the game of golf. We have a bunker and a practice green where you can develop your techniques before going on to the driving range or the course. We also cater for seniors and groups who want to enjoy golf in a relaxed and informal setting.

The Oaks course is an ideal facility for you to practise and improve your short game and the Hawthorn course will benefit your driving skills and long game. In fact, our course can be used to improve a wide variety of golfing techniques. We are proud of our 10-acre driving range which is perfect for you to develop sound techniques in your long game. Do not worry if you do not have any golf equipment - we hire clubs, bags and trolleys. We also have golf buggies for hire at the discretion of the management.

Please click here for information on our green fees.

The driving range is open on weekdays from 8.30 am to dusk - late night Thursdays until 9.00 pm - and at weekends from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm. The range has twenty bays of which twelve are under cover with six of those floodlit and heated, so come along on those dark evenings and get your game into even better shape.  Please click here for information on our driving range charges.

You can order refreshments from our Denver Bay menu at any time on your mobile 'phone (01366 385716) from the driving range and we will bring them direct to your bay at no extra cost.

Whether you're playing golf or not, you can relax at any time in our tea room to enjoy a snack or a meal and a refreshing cup of tea or coffee or a soft drink. A wide selection of cooked food, sandwiches, cakes and confectionery is always available during opening hours. On Sunday, we serve a roast lunch in addition to all our regular menu items.

Tuition and Events

Denver Golf Club has the services of Jason E Groat (PGA Professional) who is able to offer tuition to individuals and small groups at all levels of the game. Please click here for information on our tuition fees.

1.  Junior Golf Academy

We run a Junior Golf Academy at Denver Golf Club. Our Academy courses have always proved extremely popular, so advance booking is essential.  Please click here for information on our Junior Academy fees.

2.  Denver Golf Club Junior Golf Summer Programme

One-Day Camps

This programme is an excellent way for Juniors to learn all aspects of golf in a challenging and enjoyable way.  During the summer months, we hold a series of Junior One-Day Golf Camps, which are fun and informative days for Juniors of all abilities.

Young Masters Golf

For a more structured approach and to get the perfect start in golf Denver Golf Club is also offering the Cadets' course from the Young Masters' Junior Golf programme. YMG is a comprehensive, step-by-step guide designed to progress young people from beginner to advanced level.

Junior Golf Passport

Structured junior golf tuition is also available under the Junior Golf Passport which is now a recognised National Learning Programme from the Golf Foundation. Learning about golf can be great fun but practising the same thing over and over again can get boring. That's why the Golf Foundation has produced the Junior Golf Passport that teaches young people everything they need to know about playing the game, but the good news is that it's based on fun. Our Club PGA Professional will introduce juniors to all sorts of games, activities and drills that make learning about golf exciting and interesting.

3.  Corporate Days

We are happy to work with you to arrange corporate entertainment days, to accommodate team-building events, or to host charity events at Denver Golf Club. Prices will be negotiated individually for each event.

4.  Junior Birthday Parties

At Denver Golf Club we'll arrange a Junior birthday party with you.  Of course, there will plenty of golfing fun, skill and tuition for the juniors.  There are three set options for you to choose from and a fourth option where we will work together with you to arrange just what you want.

Please contact us to discuss arrangements for tuition, our Junior Golf Academy, Junior Golf Passport or any events either by telephone on Downham Market (01366) 385716 (international telephone +44 1366 385 716) or use our on-line e-mail service.

Ryston Park Golf Club Members

We are also able to offer some tuition at Denver Golf Club for beginners who are members of Ryston Park Golf Club. To make arrangements or obtain further information, please contact the Secretary at Ryston Park by e-mail or by telephone on Downham Market (01366) 382133 (international telephone +44 1366 382 133).
